Movies You NEED to See Volume 2

In my last movie post, I listed 6 of my top ALL time favorite movies that should be a requirement for living. They are definitely a requirement to get to know me at all. haha.
Here are the next 6!

Never Been Kissed
I remember when this came out I was still pretty young and my mom didn't want me watching it, because it's rated PG-13. But then she ended up seeing it at my Aunt's house while visiting and we all ended up watching it on TV then. And thank goodness...this movie is the epitome of awesomeness. It is HILARIOUS and cute and just THE perfect chick flick.  My sisters and I bust out the Josie dance quite often:)

Tangled
I flipping LOVE this movie. My sister and I went to see it when it was released to theaters in 3D and I fell in love! I said before that The Little Mermaid is my all time favorite movie, and this one is a close second. SO darn awesome! And, I totally cried at this one too. Haha.

Dear John
When this came out I was writing my missionary, and so I could majorly relate to this flick. I totally felt for them. And while my relationship with that missionary ended, my love for this movie hasn't! SO romantic and beautiful and... it needs to be said....Channing Tatum is flipping hot. Oh yes.

George of the Jungle
When we were visiting family down in Arkansas I remember my aunt took my sisters and I to see this in theaters. This was like in the mid 90's yo, and I have LOVED this movie ever since. It is so stinking HILARIOUS. Seriously.  I think I have it like memorized by now.  And my whole family gets the quote references I am constantly busting out.

The Blue and the Gray
All my life I have been a civil war buff. We always have lived within driving distance of Gettysburg and have visited it like most families visit Disney World. We would go to reenactments, civil war train rides, and my sisters and I dressed up in civil war hoop skirts most of my life. We didn't play "house," we played "civil war."  Legit. Every time a train passed by my house (we live across the street from the tracks) my sisters and I would run and duck and pretend that we were being shot at by the Rebels (or how we said it, the "revels"). So, no surprise I have been watching this movie since I was 3. It is AMAZING. Seriously.  Go get it.

August Rush
I LOVE this movie. It is so touching and sweet and little Evan/August is SO darn precious.  And Jonathan Rhys Myers? SOOOOOO stinking beautiful/hot!! AND his REAL Irish brogue?! Be still my heart/ear drums. This is a family favorite too, my dad is even obsessed, which is weird, half the time when we show him movies he's just like "eh." But he constantly requests to watch this one. So you KNOW it has to be good:)

Movies You NEED To See Volume 1

The other week, one of my favorite bloggers, Lauren, did a post about her top 10 movies required to be her friend.  I thought that was a GREAT idea!
I LOVE movies, in fact, my best friends and sisters and I constantly talk in movie quotes, much to the confusion of others around us who havent memorized these movies yet. And its one of life's greatest joys for us when we randomly bust out a line from a movie and someone understands what we are saying..haha. They instantly become our friends.
So... here we go...
My top movies I absolutely love /quote the most/you need to see are:

The Little Mermaid
Heck yes....Has been my favorite my whole life...my sisters and I even went to see Disney Princess on Ice....in high school.  And yes, it was amazing!  And when they re-released it onto dvd a few years ago, my friend and I had a little mermaid release party:)

A Walk To Remember
Oh my GOSH. Words cannot describe how much I LOVE this movie. Just, wow. I remember bringing it home on tape when it came to video and we watched it and I just was in LOVE the entire time, and when it ended, my mom, sister and I pushed rewind, and watched it all over again. AMAZING movie. Also, the first movie I remember crying at.

17 Again
I wanted to see this movie when it came out to theaters, but I didnt get to. Instead, my sister and I rented it while house sitting a few months later. I didn't know how much I would LOVE this movie. It is flipping HILARIOUS. Just...do yourself a favor and go see it, now. And if you don't have acrush on Zac Efron already, you will after seeing this movie. It worked for me:)

Titanic
As if my last few posts weren't enough of a giveaway, I freaking LOVE this movie. Hello. Just, I can't even begin to explain:) And I love Leonardo DiCaprio.

Pride and Prejudice
The first time I watched this movie, it took me a little bit to get into it, just because I couldn't understnad what they were saying. Ha. But by the end of the movie, I was literally swooning. Oh my gosh....this movie is absolutely wonderfuly amazing and perfect! I want a Mr. Darcy...every girl needs one!

She's The Man

One of the most hilarious movies I have EVER seen. The first time I watched it I laughed so hard I was crying, like throughout the whole movie. And I have seen it like 100 times since and laugh out loud every time I watch it.

Movie Monday

I am obsessed with movies. Love them. And chick flicks? LOVE them.  I'm such a girl, and it's ok.  I think guys secretly like them too (at least the good ones)...they just have to act all manly and say they don't.  So...guys and girls alike, my first flick to introduce to you on Movie Monday is

Never Been Kissed

There are like 10 movies that my sisters and I constantly quote, and this is definitely on the list.  We may even break out the Josie dancing every now and then.

Seriously, I thought every one and their mother saw this movie, but to my horror I just found out that one of my best friends, who I have been best friends with since I was 16, had never seen this movie! I know, I know, I feel like I betrayed our friendship by not ever showing it to her...but don't worry we fixed that as soon as I found out and she was introduced to the world of Michael Vartan and Drew Barrymore in this hilariously cute and sweet movie.
And if you have never seen it, I recommend you do too, STAT!
